Trio Concept

Trio Concept (bass, drums, saxophone) has emerged as one of Seattle’s most exciting new groups. Formed in 2004, the group features the talent of Seattle’s best young lions, Chris Icasiano on Drums, Luke Bergman on Bass, and Neil Welch on Saxophones.  A collaborative effort, the trio plays mostly free music which is heavily influenced by composition. Music which is communicative, innovative and about true improvisation is their ultimate goal. The use of Hindustani music, one of Neil’s musical passions, has added a new dimension to this already accomplished, and liberated group.
